How to find an ip
Ok, I know there are some newbies that are just starting. Also, I know that they may not know how to find an ip which is essential in hacking. Below I will explain briefly how to find an ip.
1. One way to find an ip is to download an ip sniffing program. I only use this if I can't make direct connection. Once you have the ip, then do what you want.
2. Netstat. If you are on a chatting service(AOL,MSN,ICQ) then make a direct connection with the person by sending a file or whatever. By doing this, both computers are connected. Simply go to the ms dos prompt(start--->programs--->accessories--->Ms-dos prompt) and type netstat -a or netstat -n.
Now you will see alot of ip's and host names sometimes and you could possibly be confused. One way to avoid all these names, is to disconnect from everything except the person whose ip you want
